GemTech Tax Free Silencer

16k6zkj

I’ve never heard of anyone doing this before!  GemTech is offering to pay the $200 tax stamp when you purchase a TREK-T from now until the end of this month!  Here’s a blurb from their website about the TREK-T:

The TREK-T is our shortest, 5.56mm titanium suppressor: Its tough construction is suitable for full auto and usage on modern, shorter barrel (10.4″ or greater) carbines. The TREK series of suppressors are the quietest of the Gemtech threadmount units, but while this compact, lightweight can makes no compromises on sound reduction, its short profile keeps compact carbines compact.

Details of the promotion found on the GEMTech blog.

Glock Factory Threaded Barrels

Great news for Glock owners!  Glock is now manufacturing threaded barrels!  Saw this over at AACBlog:

Glock has long held out against the (awesome) trend to bringing out “Silencer Ready” pistols for the consumer market. At long last there are factory threaded Glock Barrels available to the US Firearms Market. AAC, AcuSport (a leading distributor in the outdoors and shooting sports market) and Glock worked together to make this happen.

VERY nice to see more and more manufacturers offering “silencer-ready” firearms!

Ruger SR1911

RugerSR1911

It’s here!!!!  Ruger has officially announced their 1911 – the SR1911.  Slide and frame are both stainless steel, fixed Novak 3-Dot sights, and weighs in at 39 oz.  MSRP is $799 – a reasonable price I think for the features.   More details available on the spec sheet.  I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these!

Down Range TV has a nice video of the new SR1911:

Create your own printable target

free-targets-banner

I usually print my own targets when I go shooting, just to save a few pennies.  I ran across this website recently, and was really excited about how I can customize a target.  Take it for a test drive.  Best part – it’s FREE!

Federal Ammo–now in PINK

Federal is now producing ammunition in a new color – PINK!  To help support breast cancer research.  See their statement below (from the YouTube clip)

Shooters can now blast clay pigeons for a cause. Federal® Ammunition’s special edition Top Gun® Target loads support finding a cure for breast cancer. These distinctive pink hulls are an effective hunting and shooting practice option or a solid load for shooting competitions. A portion of the sales of this product will go directly to the search for a cure. The new 12-gauge 2-3/4-inch #8 shotshells deliver consistent performance for all types of clay target shooting.

Don’t care what color it is, I’ll shoot it – especially if it’s for a good cause!
